AFSP is an organization that stands for preventing suicide and bringing hope to those who have been affected by suicide. Donations to AFSP will help to fund research to improve suicide prevention efforts, train clinicians in suicide prevention, and help the organization advocate for suicide prevention appropriately.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
SAMSHA is a national organization that supports behavioral health education programs, training, and research regarding substance abuse and mental health. Their mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness in the United States.
The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project aims to provide support to LGBTQ+ youth in order to reduce the spiking suicide rates in LGBTQ+ young people. The Trevor Project provides crisis services, supports research studies, and advocates for ending suicide in young people.
Planned Parenthood
Contrary to popular belief, Planned Parenthood does far more than just provide abortion. Donating to Planned Parenthood can help low-income individuals access affordable healthcare, including birth control, pap smears, cancer screenings, STI testing and more. The organization is also highly praised for high-quality sex-education and advocating for reproductive rights.
National Breast Cancer Foundation
Breast cancer is the #1 most common cancer in the United States and affects millions of people each year. The National Breast Cancer Foundation helps provide support to women in need. Over the last decade, the organization has provided over 192,000 mammograms, over 858,000 patient navigation services, and 240,000 breast health education services to women.
